My story to success
Born with Art
Art has always been a part of me – even when I tried to ignore it. My father was an artist, a landscape painter who captured the vast views of the Danube. My childhood memories are filled with the smell of acetone, a dusty studio, stretched canvases, and colorful paints.
Back then, however, art didn’t attract me. It seemed too static, while I was all about movement – fire, water, wind. Nevertheless, the artist within me was always there, silently following me. I knew I could draw, but for years I ran from it. I believed that drawing was boring, that you had to sit still for hours.
There were brief moments of inspiration. However, they quickly disappeared, giving way to long creative pauses.
The first lines on the white paper
I drew my first caricatures at the age of 16 – one was of myself, the others of friends. They sparked so much laughter and joy that those moments have stayed in my heart ever since.
Years later, in 2009, I found myself in Paris. At the time, I was training as an MMA fighter – a sport I loved for its adrenaline and dynamic rhythm. One evening, I felt bored in my room and decided to try something new. I had only a few photos of friends, blank paper, and a ballpoint pen.
So I drew a caricature of a teammate. The whole team burst into laughter. Everyone wanted more – each person was eager to see themselves through my eyes. In that moment, I realized something important: my art isn’t just a skill. It is a way to create joy, to make people smile, and to give them something memorable long after the drawing is done.
Art as a test
In 2019, life brought me to Germany. I arrived with empty hands but a deep desire to grow. Fortunately, I met Ferdinand Georg, who introduced me to the legendary Gero Hilliger – a genius in quick sketching and my future mentor.
At that point, I had no formal artistic education. I had never drawn quick portraits before. Nevertheless, within just two months, I had to learn. I trained day and night, with a stopwatch in hand. The goal was simple – to complete a portrait in 2 to 4 minutes.
Eventually, the effort paid off. Soon, I worked alongside my German colleagues as an equal and earned my spot on stage. This chapter of my life showed me that with enough dedication and passion, anything is possible.
Caricatures with a personal style and philosophy
My caricatures are designed to highlight the best in people. Every line I draw aims to capture something unique – something that makes the person in front of me truly special.
Over time, I’ve developed my own artistic style. It is now recognizable and, to my great joy, deeply appreciated.
I love communicating with people. My art serves as a bridge – between cultures, personalities, and emotions. Every person I meet becomes a source of inspiration. I see their stories in their eyes and bring them to life on paper.
Moreover, the drawing process is not just a job for me – it’s a pleasure. I’m not just a caricaturist; I’m also an entertainer. I enjoy being in the spotlight, sharing my energy with the audience, and feeling their energy in return.
Love for the profession
Live drawing is not just about technique. It’s also a physical and mental challenge. It requires sharp concentration, constant hand coordination, and long hours in one position.
My entire life has been connected to physical effort – through sports, training, and discipline. That’s why I can confidently say: my profession is no easier!
Yet, I truly love what I do. I love the spark in people’s eyes when they recognize themselves in their caricature. My work is my joy. It allows me to leave traces, create memories, and give the artist inside me the freedom to shape new worlds.
